Yesterday, “Andres Pico” and “John Fremont” reenacted the signing of the Capitulation of Cahuenga at Campo de Cahuenga. Punctuated with canon blasts from an Howitzer cannon, the event drew a good size crowd to witness the marking of the 165th anniversary of this treaty, in which Mexico surrendered California to the US.  The Daily News has article with better photos Also, for those who enjoy living history events, the Air Raid of 1942 will be reenacted on February 18, 2012 at Fort MacArthur Museum in San Pedro.  [Photo courtesy of the author].
