A Valentine from Olive Percival (1868-1945), a Valentine’s Day devotee who exchanged commercial and charming handmade valentines with many friends. We recently wrote a series about Olive Percival for KCET Departures as Olive moved through her Los Angeles life with a whimsical depth. She was also a doll collector and her dolls participated in the holiday as well, exchanging tiny delightful cards of Olive’s creation. You can see more cards from Olive’s collection posted on the Ella Strong Denison Library’s Facebook.
