Pasadena Star News reported that a new home has been found for this 1963 Millard Sheets mural that depicts the early Tournament of Roses. Originally in the lobby of a Home Savings Bank on Colorado Boulevard, “the entire 50-foot mural is expected to be installed in the lobby of Pasadena City College’s Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium this summer,” according to the Pasadena Star News. We took this photo of the mural at the 2010 Los Angeles County Fair, as Tony Sheets (son of Millard Sheets) had it displayed in Millard Sheets Center for the Arts at the Pomona Fairplex. Need to give a hat tip to Adam Arenson, a historian who helps to preserve and promote the work of Millard Sheets.
